One pole, one rhythm
A single trekking pole is an individual walking stick, sold as one piece rather than a matched set. The samples here come in black, gray, brown, and green, with some finished in anthracite and copper. They suit a walker who wants one point of contact on the trail or street and does not want to manage a second stick.
Telescopic, folding, or fixed
Most single poles in the samples collapse for storage, either by telescoping sections or by folding along an internal cord. The Super Micro and the Wanderfreund Makalu both adjust from 90 to 120 cm, which covers a range of heights and lets the pole shorten on a pack. A few are built as staffs rather than simple poles, with multi-tool heads and eight-tube construction.
Materials and grip choices
Aluminum alloy is the common shaft material in the samples, and it appears in collapsible and telescopic forms. Grips vary, and the samples show stability grips on rehab-oriented poles and standard grips on general hiking poles. The G3 Tactical and H2 Survive staffs are gray and built around a multi-tool head rather than a plain grip.
When one pole is enough
A single pole works for walkers who want a steadying hand on one side, or who carry a camera or dog leash in the other. It is also the form that shows up in personalized and gift-oriented samples, where the pole is chosen as an individual item. If you want matched support on both sides, the pairs form is the better fit.
